Resident Engineer – Full Time- Houston, Texas:

KIT Professionals, Inc. is a Houston-based civil/environmental consulting engineering firm that specializes in water infrastructure engineering. KIT has a full-time opportunity for a Civil Engineer with at least 7 to 10 years of experience in construction site resident engineering services and document control for construction management. This individual will work on site and coordinate one area of construction on the largest water treatment plant progressive design build project in North America. Responsibilities will require working full time at the construction site coordinating, tracking, and resolving construction and design submittals, RFI’s, and design change notices for construction.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing design plans and technical specifications to understand design intent criteria
  • Liaison and coordination between the construction engineering team and design team
  • Coordinating, Tracking, and Resolving Submittals, RFI’s, and design change notices
  • Working independently and professionally with Contractors, Engineers, and Agency Personnel
  • Maintaining and organizing engineering and construction documents
  • Presenting information to the client in an effective concise way

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Fundamentals of Engineering or EIT successfully completed

Civil Engineer – Full Time- Houston, Texas:

The position candidate must have the training and experience to assist project teams for the delivery of various types of water, wastewater, and the other civil infrastructure projects, with growth future responsibility for project delivery and client satisfaction. Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed design, analysis, engineering calculations and develop construction documents for various civil infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare, plan and design deliverables, technical problem solving, prepare and monitor project budgets and schedules.
  • Prepare and coordinate technical documents using industry software programs.
  • Develop and implement civil engineering strategies to comply with City, County, State and Federal permitting requirements.

Associate Design Engineer (Houston, TX):

Review and prepare street designs, water distribution systems and waste water collection system designs, drainage designs, grading and site layout designs and hydrology and hydraulic analysis using Auto CAD Civil 3D, HEC-1, HEC-2, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and Hydraflow. Perform and execute Culvert Analysis engineering plans, construction scedules, specifications, and designs for projects. Prepare feasibility reports, progress reports, project control documents, cost analysis and technical engineering reports. Attend meetings with Harris County & Huntsville City officials. Graduate Level Civil Engineer – Full Time – Houston, Texas ; Dallas, Texas

  • Assist with preparation of planning studies and technical reports
  • Prepare engineering designs with supporting calculations

  • Conduct facility assessments, system testing and pilot testing

Qualifications:

  • Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering or related study field.  Masters degreed candidates will be considered.
  • EIT Certification required
  • 0-3 years of design experience

CADD Technician – Dallas, Texas

KIT Professionals, Inc. is a Texas-based civil/environmental consulting engineering firm that specializes in municipal infrastructure engineering.  We are seeking a highly motivated individual for a full time CADD Technician position in our Dallas, Texas office.  The position candidate must have the training and experience to assist project teams for the delivery of various types of water, wastewater, and the other civil infrastructure including water/wastewater treatment plants, distribution and collection systems, pumping systems, stormwater systems, and municipal streets and thoroughfares. The position candidate must be capable of effective communication; working in a team-oriented manner with strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Technician will be responsible for creating preliminary and detailed design figures and drawings, developing conceptual site layouts, detailed design drawings, record drawings, and other drafting tasks as assigned.
  • Technician will be expected to participate in team meetings which may include field or at-site interaction with clients and subcontractors.
  • Technician will need to be able to work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously using strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Technician will be expected to budget own time and work efficiently to achieve project goals both independently and as part of project teams
  • Technician will ensure project compliance with all KIT practices and quality and safety standards and facilitate timely completion and submission of projects within established budgets.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7 years of professional work experience in design/drafting.
  • Associate’s degree in Civil Technology, Design/Drafting, or closely related field of study or a HS Diploma, with equivalent years’ experience and continuing education coursework.
  • Certifications/Licenses are preferred but not required
  • High degree of proficiency with most recent versions of AutoCAD.  Highly desirable to have CADD Technician with Civil 3D, AutoCAD MEP (3d Modeling), and Microstation experience.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe software.
  • Field experience or work with survey files a plus.
  • Experience as Design/Technician specifically with civil, mechanical, structural and infrastructure for water/wastewater and utilities engineering design and construction projects.
  • Experience maintaining the quality and consistency of CAD (i.e., designs, as-builts, symbology, connectivity and annotation).
  • Valid TX Driver’s License required – some local travel to project sites and/or client locations.

Pursuit/Proposal Coordinator – Houston, Texas

KIT Professionals, Inc., a Houston-based civil/environmental consulting engineering firm that specializes in water infrastructure engineering, has a full-time opportunity for a Pursuit/Proposal Coordinator with experience in the Architecture/Engineering profession. This individual will support the strategic development and implementation of client and opportunity pursuit plans, and the development of proposals, presentations, and other business development materials. The Pursuit/Proposal Coordinator will work with client teams to engage and interface with clients and potential clients in business development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees/conducts planning, editing, and production of content for proposals, statements of qualifications, presentations, etc.
  • Maintains marketing database on projects and prospective jobs/clients
  • Creates and prepares client and pursuit specific materials for positioning meetings as part of the capture planning process as needed
  • Maintains an up-to-date awareness of creative marketing tools, digital communications, and social media and uses this information to help the firm communicate effectively with innovation
  • Coordinates development of general marketing documents, handouts, promotional materials, etc.
  • Supports outreach efforts, such as project and firm award submittals, client events, white paper or presentation development, tradeshows, and public relations efforts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in English, Communications,  Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of A/E/C industry experience as a marketing, proposal, or business development specialist
  • Experience developing and writing proposals; thorough understanding of the Request for Qualifications Process and Request for Proposal processes
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills; must be able to work and communicate effectively with technical and business development team members
  • Experience in persuasive writing and developing features with advantages and benefits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Adobe Creative Suite Ability to network and connect with clients, teaming partners, and professional organizations as needed
