Project Description

Client: City of Houston / Houston Airport System Program Management

Location: Houston, Texas

Program management services in support of activities and operations at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, William P. Hobby Airport, and Ellington Airport.

The program management services and associated personnel needs cover the typical broad spectrum of activities normally expected at a large multi-airport system including planning management, project controls, contract administration, commissioning management, MWBE contract compliance, seconded staffing related to capital project master plan implementation support, support to the capital improvement program, environmental activities related to development, demographics, economic impacts, management of planning data, planning support to airport management, individual planning project studies, and other activities normally associated with planning at large commercial and general aviation airports.  KIT provided a Quality Manager to supplement Houston Airport System who become a part of the planning, design and construction team for the duration of that need. As a part of the Houston Airport System program management team, KIT’s quality manager is providing support services in the development of construction quality control plans, reviewing construction plans and specifications, and providing limited construction phase services for airport projects.
