Storm Water Engineering Support (SWEPS) and Storm Drainage Program Support (SDPS)

KIT is currently providing staff augmentation services to the City of Houston Storm Engineering Section. One of KIT’s staff members is currently managing multiple City of Houston drainage projects under the City of Houston Storm Water Engineering Program Support (SWEPS). He is responsible for reviewing design plans, specifications and estimates for compliance with contract documents; negotiating scope and fees with consultants for Phase I, II, and III design services; recommending authorization of design services and payments; preparing Request for Council Action packages for professional services contracts, additional appropriations and construction awards; coordinating with inter-departmental sections and branches within the Engineering and Construction Division as well as other divisions with the Department of Public Works and Engineering; maintaining current and accurate information within the City’s CIP Management System on managed projects; and providing analysis and input on revisions to policies, procedures, and design guidelines.
